The business was established in 1988
and initially run from home before moving to its current
location
in February
1990. It now occupies 2 sites in Great Malvern - the
retail premises and workshop on Belle Vue Terrace and
the factory in St Ann's Road, where all the frames
are made.
The business was taken over by Hannah and Adrian Sutton
on the 1st November 2003. Hannah and Adrian moved to
Malvern from London in October 2003. Both Hannah and
Adrian have a keen interest in art and had long been
looking to run their own business, so the chance to
run Malvern Hills Art was the perfect opportunity
to leave their office jobs in London and move to Worcestershire,
we now employ 2 full time and 3 part time staff.
In addition to Hannah and Adrian, Malvern Hills Art
now employs 2 full-time and 2 part time members of
staff.
Malvern Hills Art is first and foremost a bespoke
picture framing business and it provides a complete,
professional service from cutting the wood and glass
through to assembly and finishing off. A full mounting
service is also provided including dry and wet mounting
and stretching and lacing of embroideries.
In addition to the framing service, Malvern Hills
Art also stocks a wide range of ready made frames and
mirrors, as well as a varied and interesting collection
of local art work, contemporary and classic prints
and posters and a full range of greetings cards.
